There are no entry requirements for this qualification.

Packaging Rules

29 units must be completed:

  • 20 core units
  • 9 elective units, consisting of:
  • 1 unit from Group A: Infection control
  • all units from any one of Group B, C, or D
  • Group B: Electrolysis/Diathermy
  • Group C: Relaxation Massage
  • Group D: Spa Treatments
  • remaining units from the list below, elsewhere in the SHB Training Package, or any other current training package or accredited course.

Packaging Specialisations

Packaging rules for each specialization:

  • All units from Group B electives must be selected for award of the Diploma of Beauty Therapy (Electrolysis/Diathermy)
  • All units from Group C electives must be selected for award of the Diploma of Beauty Therapy (Relaxation Massage)
  • All units from Group D electives must be selected for the award of the Diploma of Beauty Therapy (Spa Treatments).

The selection of electives must be guided by the job outcome sought, local industry requirements and the complexity of skills appropriate to the AQF level of this qualification.
